Star of The Now Show and The Imitation Game
Jess is celebrated for serving up a feast of musical styles and genres and is a classically trained singer, versatile in all styles. She was a semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent (ITV1), wowing the judges and audiences alike with her sensational impressions, which she has also showcased on The One Show (BBC One) and The Last Leg (C4). Jess stars as the lead female impressionist in The Week That Wasn’t (Sky One), and will also guest on brand-new, prime-time comedy panel show for impressionists, The Imitation Game (ITV1). Further television appearances include Dead Ringers (BBC Two) and Rory Bremner’s Election Report (BBC Two), whilst she is a prolific performer on radio, appearing in shows such as Comedy Showcase (BBC Radio 2), Jeremy Vine: Agony Uncle (BBC Radio 2), Celebrity Lip Service (BBC Radio 2), The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), Rich Hall’s Election Breakdown (BBC Radio 4) and Newsjack (BBC Radio 4 Extra).
Jenny Bede who always worried that her classical training in musical theatre stopped her being seen as a proper comedian, serious actor, or decent human being. However, much like nationalism and Greggs, musical theatre is having a bit of a moment, and, always the fair weather friend, Jenny wants in on the action.
Join the award-winning musical comic (as seen on BBC2, BBC3, ITV, Netflix, Channel 4 and E4) as she attempts to double down on her musical roots, write her Hamilton, and seal her fate.
